Student Health Plan in Princeton University
Every student is required to have health insurance coverage while enrolled at Princeton University. This health insurance must cover off-campus specialty care and hospitalization not provided at UHS.
Undergraduate students may elect to enroll in university student health insurance or choose to waive out of automatic enrollment into the SHP by providing comparable insurance coverage on or before June 30th of each year.
All graduate students are automatically enrolled in university student health insurance. Students may also elect to participate in optional vision and dental plans that provide benefits beyond those included in the SHP by the August 15th deadline of each year.
